Great news - we have released phase 0 for the API. This means you will be able to use it for the project module within NearBeach. We want to improve the API User Experience for all users. To do this we are opening discussions on discord with everyone to obtain your feedback. We currently have some feedback that we want to implement. We are hoping this process will improve everyone's experience with NearBeach.
During the month of April we will be implementing these requested changes, and deploying the phase 1 of the API. Phase 1 will include the following modules;
During the month of May, we will be focusing on Phase 2 of the API, which will involve the child modules;
Security of an application is extremely important. No one like it when their accounts have been broken into no matter how hard they try to be secure. To help users of NearBeach stay as secure as possible, we are implementing Two Factor Authentication (2FA). 2FA requires the user to enter an extra code/pass to login to NearBeach. The user will receive this code either through email or an authentication app like Google Authenticator. Anyone who has the username and password, but not access to the code/pass will not be able to log into NearBeach, and thus hopefully keeping the account safe.
Like many project management systems out there, we will need to implement a way a project/task can be estimated. For example a user might use story points. We are investigating how this feature will be re-implemented back into NearBeach and what new functionality it could handle. i.e implementing an estimation feature where multiple users could supply estimations.

We do not want to restrict NearBeach to English speaking users. We would like to offer NearBeach to anyone, no matter their language. Translating NearBeach into multiple different languages will open up NearBeach as a useful tool for everyone.
Currently we need to research the most effective way we can implement this, and going forward open up the doors for anyone to submit a translation into NearBeach. Following the translation of NearBeach we will also need to translate the documentation.
